How we check

The rules every entry follows: which hotels qualify, where the facts come from and what we never publish.

Which hotels qualify

Only hotels where an official source states that the casino is inside the hotel building, connected to it by an indoor passage, or within the same resort or complex. A casino across the street does not qualify, however close it is.

Three ways in

  • Same lobby: the casino is in the hotel building itself.
  • Corridor: hotel and casino are joined by a corridor, a gallery or a direct internal entrance.
  • Across the grounds: the casino is elsewhere on the same resort grounds.

We assign the way in from the wording of the source. If a source only says that the casino is part of the complex, the hotel goes under Across the grounds.

Where the facts come from

Every fact on a hotel page comes from a page we opened and read: in order of preference, the hotel's official website, the venue's official website, the regulator or the official tourist office. Each hotel page lists its sources with the date we read them. If a fact cannot be confirmed, the field is left out rather than estimated.

What we never publish

We describe a casino as a place to visit. We do not describe games, prizes or offers, and we never link to online gaming services. Opening hours and rules change, so please confirm them with the venue before travelling.

Photographs

Photographs come from Wikimedia Commons, where each carries its author's name and licence, or, when no free photograph exists, from the official website of the hotel shown, credited with a link to that website. We never present a generated image as a real place.
